The Waterfront single and it's accompanying remix were released in October 2013 following a lengthy gestation period...

The basic tune came from a track called "Buried Leisure" dating way back to 2007. This later became "Waterfront" around 2009 and was now about an (imagined) depressing night out at the legendary eponymous Norwich music venue. It was going to feature on the abandoned Strawberry Fuel album and was played live several times by the Scanlon/Banks lineup.
Following the dissolution of that lineup and the subsequent resumption of ideas-sharing between Scanlon & Saunders "Waterfront" became the front-runner for a new Parasite single and work started on this version in early 2013. (The other contenders were "Cycling Round In Circles" and "Everyman" which both ended up on later albums).

Included here is the single version, the "The Walk Home" remix released simultaneously plus a recently-unearthed unedited extended version of the remix dubbed "the Small Hours mix".
