I've got a mundane morning feeling And there's Chuckles the clown downstairs His girlfriend kicks off And then the punchline, then he swears My temporary sanctuary can shield me if I close my eyes But I can't let this slide Are you broken? I don't want a confrontation I think I've mentioned that before It reminds me of that morning With the police tape on the door It's fun and games til something snaps Now I can't bear to watch I hear the monster he becomes Are you broken? No control, no hopes, no dreams The feeling you've been dropped from the team Do you even want to fit in? Are you broken? Have you broken her? The neighbourhood's poisoned homeopathically These are the streets that fit the bill The wheely bin gang saw and off they ran Is this what you want? Are you broken? No control, no hopes, no dreams The feeling you've been dropped from the team Do you even want to fit in? Are you broken? Have you broken her? Oh what fun we had picking up the pieces Mend your heart with glue and string Put you back together again Oh what fun we had picking up the pieces Mend your heart with glue and string Put you back together again Oh what fun we had picking up the pieces Mend your heart with glue and string Put you back together again Oh what fun we had picking up the pieces Mend your heart with glue and string Put you back together again

Got to get through this period of change It's not gone as expected but I can't admit I'm wrong Cos it's not right for my image then I won't be here for long Don't label it "tough times" Inconsistent, deranged Don't admit it's a failure It's a "period of change" It's a "period of change" It's a "period of change" It's a "period of change" Don't want the blame for this period of change If I bailed out and composed myself with dignity and tact My replacement only highlights all the competence I lacked Don't label it "tough times" Inconsistent, deranged Don't admit it's a failure It's a "period of change" It's a "period of change" It's a "period of change" It's a "period of change" Sitting in the garage eating chicken wings Feeling old and tired Like the desiccated arachnid crawling up the wall Made it a third of the way and then expired It's not a "tough time", it's a "period of change" It could take fifty years and progression may be small Jesus, I'll be in my eighties if I'm even here at all. Don't label it "tough times" Inconsistent, deranged Don't admit it's a failure It's a "period of change" It's a "period of change" It's a "period of change" It's a "period of change" Don't say "on a journey" Be consistently vague Don't admit it's a failure It's a "period of change" It's a "period of change" It's a "period of change" It's a "period of change"

about

Ok guys, touching base in these unprecedented times we all need to be moving in the same direction and pulling together to action all necessary next steps moving forward. Consequently and as a result my colleagues and I are giving it 110%, bringing it all to the table and releasing more tracks than you would otherwise be receiving due to the uncertain times we live in and as the new album is still "on a journey", vis-a-vis the next Parasite release is now another robust double A-side of deliverables.
I've always been very clear that "Are You Broken?" is something people say to me fairly regularly, but that's by-the-by as this song is actually about REAL LIFE and REAL PEOPLE, are we all singing from the same hymn sheet? Moving forward we have "Period of Change", which is about the way everyone speaks these days once they get a taste of power, ok, any questions? It's vitally important that "Echoes and Shadows" fulfils the target of Will singing a song on this release so that all relevant next steps are taken and targets are met, he's done a real "deep dive" for this one.
I'd like to give a big thanks also to "the girls" for helping out on "Be An Owl" with their core competencies, an old idea repurposed by the "Not Now" Group and subsequently taken back "in house" after their liquidation. At close of play there's an instrumental "Period of Change" as a piece of extra content low hanging fruit going forward to take it to the next level. Any problems, my door is open.
